Group Treatment Specialist
Overview:
The group specialist is responsible for providing self-led, professional, engaging, and entertaining activities that align with each week’s social skill, while maintaining an appropriate patient/provider relationship. By leading group activities this professional will enable group members to develop positive behaviors during sessions and help to improve treatments results.
The primary objective is to assist clients and provide a variety of coping and/or calming strategies that aid their ability to demonstrate positive actions by elaborating on clients’ thoughts, feelings, and situations that they have encountered.
Essential Duties:
- Prepare and coordinate sessions according to the clients' and other teams' planning and schedule.
- Implement treatment goals and objectives through group activities.
- Ensure alignment with each client's treatment plan.
- Interact with a group of children in positive and professional manner.
- Communicates treatment progress and concerns with the direct supervisor and the treatment team.
- Complete weekly group case notes after sessions.
- Prepare, update and maintain documentation in a timely manner.
- Provide a safe, structured learning environment.
- Implement Behaven Kids model of care and curriculum in a group setting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation:
- $17-$25 an hour
- Hiring Bonus for Full Time (excludes internal candidates)

- Low ratio of kids to staff.
- High school diploma (Required).
- Associate degree in early childhood education or related field (Preferred)
- 3 years experience in a preschool or daycare setting (Preferred)
- At least nineteen years of age.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in active environment.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
